The Arlington National Cemetery is located in Arlington, Virginia. It was originally about 200 acres around the Arlington Mansion, acquired by George Washington Parke Custis, where he had it taken by the government. He had it given back, and later sold it back to them for $150,000.
Arlington National Cemetery contains the Tomb of the Unknowns, where 4 unknown soldiers are buried. There are nearly 100 funerals there a day, the average day has 28. 2800 tombstones are marked with “citizen” or “civilian”. There are slaves killed during the Civil War. When we go there, one of us will make a speech at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Good luck to whoever says it.

More than four million people visit Arlington National Cemetery which is located in Washington D. C. This a place of peace and rest for all the people who fought for our country and many other important people. Arlington Mansion and two hundred acres of land surrounding it were the designated place for the cemetery. There is a tomb in the cemetery called the tomb of the unknown and the soldier who was buried there was never officially named.
